On a steep cliff - on the northern tip of Bornholm - stands the impressive ruins of the medieval fortress of Hammershus.

Hiking at Hammershovede

You can hike a tour of approx. 20 km, which takes you through the woods, past the old quarry, on to Hammershus, over Hammer harbour, to the Crystal Lake and via Sandvia Harbour and the coastline to your accommodation. Along the way, be sure to enjoy a sandwich in Hammer Harbour and drink a cup of coffee at Høiers in Allinge harbor.

The map above is a proposal of how to make the Hammershovede hike. But you can off course adjust the route to suit your level.
