Welcome to an adventurous one day bus tour to Sprogø and a guided town walk in Nyborg - The heart of Denmark.
Sprogø
Sprogø is a unique and protected island with a rich birdlife. The island has historically played a central role in the history of Denmark. Valdemar's Castle was built on Sprogø as a part of its defense against the Wends. Today it functions as a transport corridor through the Great Belt Link. In addition - back in the days - the Danish government used Sprogø as a sort of prison for frivolous and dissolute girls and women and thereby keeping them seperate and isolated from the rest of the population.
