Charlotte and Peter Lyngholm and their two children moved in 2006 from a hectic city life on to a large country estate on Tuse Næs. A passionate dream of a life closer to nature with high ceilings, space to develop ideas and to realize themselves - drove them from the big city. A year later, after an extensive restoration, the doors opened to the fully restored luxurious mansion Lyngholm Country House - teaching location - Bed and Breakfast.

The house is situated on a magnificent country estate with 21 acres of land and ecological farming with sheep and lambs. It is highly and beautifully situated on the hilly Tuse Næs in a peaceful setting just 11 km from Holbæk town centre and overlooking Lammefjorden and Odsherred. A bunch of Jutlandish horses go and graze on the nearby fields, and in the parking lot you will be greeted by the farm's free-range chickens. On the farm there are also rabbits, chickens, cats and dogs. Watch a shepherds dog at work, have a chat with the social chicken, get a freshly laid egg or flip a rabbit in the rabbit barn. With an exquisite sense of the charm and coziness of the original farm - the place, being a wonderfully delicious and inviting BB - is the perfect venue for business people who want intimacy, and small private companies who want to let Lyngholm Country House be a gathering place for community celebrations.

Since Charlotte and Peter opened Lyngholm Country House, they have had many guests. You will find many opportunities for walking, cycling and scenic excursions, good beaches and fishing. The region also offers more than 500 km of trails and hiking trails along the inlets and many fabulous vantage points. If you buy the trip "Isefjord - with 4 ferries," Lyngholm Country House is perfect for a stay on the route. It includes boat trip to Orø with the little Orø ferry which sails from Holbæk Harbour. Nyvang town is a living museum for the whole family - where you can experience living in the country in the period between 1870 to 1950. You enter into a vivid past and see people in costumes from the period doing their daily chores. In Holbæk you will find exciting places to dine. Tastes span from the new Danish-French-Italian gourmet cuisine to the lovely Danish open sandwiches and the beer enthusiasts Holbæk Brewery will certainly be worth a visit.

Lyngholm Country House Bed and Breakfast is situated in a separate section of the house, and they offer overnight stays all year round.
